Screen printing vs. Embroidery
Screen printing is a process that uses inks that are applied to, for example, t-shirts, team uniforms, tote bags, etc. Some advantages of screen printing over embroidery are that you can create high end designs with shading and gradients and if you print a lot of the same item it is fairly inexpensive. Usually larger designs (such as for the entire back of a shirt) will be more cost effective screen printed.
Embroidery is a process where thread is stitched into your custom product. In general, embroidery can create a more professional look which will last longer than the inks used in screen printing. The number of colors, unlike for screen printing, does not affect price.
North Shore Embroidery can help you determine which method is preferable. Often, businesses, teams & organizations use both techniques.
